TRUMPET 1
Hail and fire mixed with blood hurled to the earth. . .
Revelation 8: 6-7
7 The
first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed
with blood, and it was hurled down upon the earth. A third of the
earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all
the green grass was burned up.
The
WORD
Made Visual The Purpose of
"TAV"(Timely
Art Visions)
During a time of
inspiration Devi realized that the last letter " tav" in the Hebrew alphabet
represented the acrostic Timely Art Visions; thus, the name of her biblical art
works of Revelation.
"Tav"
means to mark or to set boundaries around. In Ezekiel 9 the one who
held the pen put a mark or "tav" on the foreheads of those who
would be able to escape God's wrath, setting them apart from those who
were to be counted for judgment. In Revelation there are also those who
receive a mark from God to escape impending final Judgment. Many
today of the Jewish faith believe that the Mark of Ezekiel is the Hebrew word "emet"
which means Truth. This word begins with the letter " alef" the first letter
of the Hebrew alphabet and ends with " tav" the last--signifying to those who
believe that all who are and who will be marked by this " tav" are the ones
who keep by simple faith the Torah from " alef to tav"--from beginning to
end. Thus those with the mark, "emet" will be spared from judgment too.
Devi's purpose is
to provide a provocative visual platform by her apocalyptic art to enable the viewer to enter her spiritual art and into the Book of Revelation 's eschatological scenes within the current world happenings in the new millennium. Rather than trying to impose a didactic single
interpretation, she hopes instead that these multifaceted paintings of her prophetic art will provoke
and arouse the viewer to a new 'Revelation' in their understanding
of the text as it pertains personally to the viewer in the time and world
which they live.
For the believer
in Jesus Christ, this 3D work will broaden the viewer's spiritual understanding
of the Book of Revelation and how it relates to the entire Bible and the apocalypse. For others, this art invokes a warning for this contemporary age.
