Let Them Go Free oil 14 x 18
Who are these women behind a veil or burqa? How do the woman of America try to connect to these concealed women wearing a burqa of the Mideast, mainly Muslim? Are they different in heart and maternal roles? Are they hiding or protecting under their veils? How does their faith and garments and lifestyle compare to my modern American worldview and freedoms? How amazing to watch the females line up to vote for the first time and stand behind their husbands and sons in our crisis and their own war torn lives in much rubble and brokenness. Yet life goes on and they raise families and work hard as they are veiled and yet watching I am sure the rest of the world. Yet of many who come here to America: What do they see in the freedom of America women compared to their lives ?
